About the store
Specsavers in Bradford first opened its doors in 1992 before relocating to the prime shopping centre in Bradford, The Broadway. The store sits in a prominent position in The Broadway which boasts fellow market leading retailers, restaurants and leisure facilities such as Next, River Island, M&S, H&M, Clarks, Estee Lauder, Pizza Express, Costa Coffee and not forgetting The Light Cinema. The store is firmly embedded within the local community and provides both NHS and private services.
Specsavers in Bradford pride themselves in ensuring that every one of their customers receives an excellent patient experience. The high levels of service and patient care have led to numerous positive customer reviews and an excellent local reputation.
Due to an impressive refit a few years ago, the store is in immaculate condition. It boasts 7 optical test rooms all fully equipped with the latest clinical technology including OCT – meaning you will have everything you need to perform sight tests to the highest possible standards. They also offer enhanced clinical services including MECS and OTHP.
A team of 45 dedicated and hardworking colleagues call this store home. The existing partner is really passionate about the clinical development of the team, and as the new Retail Director you would have the scope to advise on training requirements, introduce new specialisms and build/shape the team further as required.
Location
The Broadway Shopping Centre is located in the heart of the vibrant city of Bradford, famous for its history in textile manufacture, its popular university, and a city synonymous with a good curry. Bradford is also the world’s first UNESCO City of Film. As it sits on one of the UK’s green belt areas which restricts urban growth, beautiful green spaces are on its doorstep including the famous Ilkley moor.
There are excellent transport links with a train station within walking distance of the store where you can reach Leeds in about 20 minutes or Manchester in under an hour. There’s also easy access to the M62 and the M1.
