Job description

What's the role about?

As part of our Retail Operations department, you'll provide operational support to our retail stores and help them run as effectively as possible by providing engaging, clear communication, direction and guidelines.
You will work closely with the Retail Operations Manager to support driving Retail Objectives and initiatives to achieve business growth, whilst liaising with Head Office departments to represent Retail in order to improve operational activity, compliance and results in stores



Who you are

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to priorities effectively
  • Previous experience in a fast paced retail environment (either store or a head office environment)
  • Strong relationship building skills, with proven ability to effectively influence and negotiate with a range of stakeholders
  • Initiative and drive, with a genuine passion for retail and the role that the department plays in driving business success
  • The ability to effectively manage a varied and challenging workload
  • The ability to multitask, maintain focus under pressure and ensure accuracy and attention to detail at all times
  • Excellent PC skills essential; use of word, PowerPoint, excel and outlook
  • Excellent verbal and written skills essential
  • Enthusiasm and the ability to work on own initiative
  • Ability to work to tight timescales and deadlines
  • Excellent team player

What you'll be doing

  • Create engaging content and communication for our store teams
  • Publish communication, surveys and procedures on StorIQ – our store intranet
  • Taking a proactive role in the planning and execution of the Annual Retail Conference
  • Implement and monitor store incentives, highlighting successful models and identifying internal best practice
  • Identifying and escalating common themes or issues when raised by field teams / stores
  • Supporting the Retail Operations Manager with the management of the Key Activity Planner for Retail
  • Producing and implementing new tools, templates and processes which improve departmental performance and contribute to driving key business objectives
  • Managing project work related to the achievement of Retail Objectives as set by Retail Operations Manager
  • Working closely with key stakeholders to influence and impact decision making effecting stores
  • Working closely with the Retail Operations Manager to implement and monitor new initiatives
  • To review and research branch procedures and to amend and update when necessary
  • To assist in setting up new processes that will benefit and support the store teams
