Retail Operations Assistant
Joining us as a Retail Operations Assistant is a great opportunity, whether it’s your first job and you’re looking to gain some valuable experience, or you have experience with retail and you’re looking for a new challenge. Whilst this is a temporary contract, there could be the potential for a permanent role later depending on the opportunities in your local area, so it could be the start of a new career with us.
About the role
Christmas in Boots is our most exciting time of the year, and it can be very busy, so we’ll provide you with all the training and support you need to help you be at your best.
You will work onsite and report into the Assistant or Store Manager and your role could be to work in our back shop to run our stock room or you could prepare boots.com orders by picking from the shelves. You may also:

  • Process and prepare online customer orders to a high standard using a handheld device
  • Obtain the relevant information and locate the required goods to pack and dispatch online orders
  • Support the store’s daily operational activities
  • Work as a team to solve any issues
What you’ll need to have
Full training is provided for this role, and we are looking for people who:
  • Enjoy following process and working at pace
  • Excel in a varied environment
  • Enjoy working as part of a team, promoting a collaborative team dynamic
  • Communicate and listen effectively
  • Are comfortable learning about and using new technology, including handheld mobile devices to support processing online orders
It would be great if you also have:
  • Experience providing great customer care - although this is not essential.
Our benefits
  • Boots Retirement Savings Plan
  • Generous employee discount plus enhanced discounts for Boots brands, Boots Opticians and Boots Hearingcare
We have a great range of benefits in addition to the above that go beyond salary and offer flexibility to suit you; click here to view our full list of company benefits (all rewards and benefits are subject to change and eligibility).
