We are now recruiting for a Duty Manager for our Photo Team at York Maze, for our seasonal events!
We are looking for an energetic and bubbly extrovert with the passion to deliver to our guests and team an interactive, fun, and memorable experience. To lead by example and help coach the team to deliver a high-quality photography service to our partnerships resulting in industry leading results.
There are two parts to the job… The Role, and the responsibilities.
The Role;
The Camera
In this part of the role, we need your excitable energy to create a fun and enjoyable atmosphere for our guests, from little ones to grown-ups. You will be taking their photos upon entrance of the haunt and encouraging them to pose, whether it’s a big scream or pulling silly faces.
No experience with photography/cameras? Not to worry! No experience required.
The Sales Desk
For this part of the role, you will be encouraging guests to come over to the sales desk with an excitable and energetic attitude “come and see your photos guys!”. Taking their tickets and showing them their spooktacular photos. Here at EPT we love our guest interaction, when displaying the photos, you will be explaining the backgrounds and having a good old laugh with the guests about their poses and asking about their day/night. After viewing the photos, you will be explaining prices and products to the guests, listening to what they are interested in and selling them the best value packages. Once a sale is made you will be printing and making their products, such as photo booklets, keyrings and magnets.
The Duty Manager responsibilities.
· Leading by example and coaching the team to the best of their abilities.
· Supporting with day-to-day challenges.
· Watching over the operation, making sure everything runs smoothly.
· Being able to manage a fast-paced environment.
· Opening/closing down the site
· Cashing up
· Managing the staff rota & breaks
We are looking for someone with…
· Excellent customer service skills
· Team management skills
· Strong organization skills
· Strong problem solving skills
· Knowledge of cash management
· Supervisory experience in a retail environment preferred.
Role accountabilities
- Commercial awareness of current prices, packages & promotions, delivering this confidently to customers and colleagues.
- Work with the Manager, to set & implement operational targets, including revenue targets and objectives.
- Reach and maintain an appropriate level of competence with regard to the operation of business systems & processes.

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary contract
Contract length: 1 month
Part-time hours: 20-40 per week
Salary: £11.00-£12.00 per hour
