Job description
Gloagburn is a thriving farm shop and coffee shop on the outskirts of Perth currently recruiting for a full or part time retail assistant.
We stock local, seasonal and Scottish produce, specialty foods from around the world and our own home made range including a variety of baked goods, ready meals soups pates jams and chutneys made in our own kitchen and bakery. The shop also has an in house butchery, deli counter, cheese counter, fresh fruit and vegetables, wines and spirits, grocery and confectionery. The gift shop stocks a varied range of items from pottery, and rugs to accessories and clothes, cards, books and household items. We also provide custom made hampers to individuals and corporate clients.
Hours are 8.30am - 5.30pm, full time (4 to 5 days per week) or part time (2 to 3 days per week) on a monthly rota.
The ideal applicant will have strong customer care skills and a genuine interest in food and local produce. If you enjoy a busy varied work load and have a positive attitude and great attention to detail we would love to hear from you. Food retail experience would be a n advantage but is not essential. is
Main duties and responsibilities include
Maintaining stock levels and stock rotation
Ensuring products are presented and promoted attractively
Pricing and labeling of products
Use of the till including cash, card and voucher payments.
Assisting customers and promoting items.
Maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the shop floor at all times.
Assisting with opening and closing procedures
Food hygiene and Allergen training would be an advantage
