Job Overview:

As a Retail and Wholesale Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of both retail and wholesale channels of the business. You will be tasked with maximizing profits, ensuring customer satisfaction, and managing a team of employees. This role requires a strong understanding of the retail and wholesale industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to analyze data to make strategic decisions.

Responsibilities:

* Develop and implement sales strategies to increase revenue for both the retail and wholesale channels of the business.

* Monitor inventory levels and make purchasing decisions to ensure product availability.

* Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to negotiate pricing and terms of agreements.

* Manage a team of employees, including hiring, training, and evaluating performance.

* Analyze sales data to identify trends and make informed decisions regarding inventory management, pricing, and promotions.

* Develop and implement marketing campaigns to promote products and increase brand awareness.

* Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, including inventory management, cash handling, and customer service standards.

* Oversee the store layout and ensure that merchandise is displayed in an appealing and organized manner.

* Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and expenses and provide regular reports to senior management.

* Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and finance, to ensure alignment of goals and objectives.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.

* Proven experience in retail and/or wholesale management.

* Strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to manage and motivate a team of employees.

* Familiarity with inventory management systems and retail POS software.

* Understanding of marketing and promotional strategies.

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

* Strong organizational and time-management skills.

* Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £24,000.00-£27,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

  • Romford: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

Experience:

  • Retail sales: 1 year (preferred)
  • Supervising experience: 1 year (preferred)
  • Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
  • Retail management: 1 year (preferred)
  • Management: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (preferred)
