PURPOSE OF THE ROLE With a particular focus on complex, and cross-border financial restructurings involving a number of jurisdictions and different stakeholders in a capital structure, you will be expected to provide pragmatic, commercial and innovative advice. You will advise financial institutions (including banks and debt funds), bondholders, insolvency practitioners, large corporates, directors, private equity sponsors and other stakeholders on a wide range of restructuring and insolvency-related matters across a broad variety of sectors. You are a senior level high quality finance lawyer who wants more freedom and control over your own progression and development, in an environment where you will be supported and which champions people and culture along with the highest quality work in the London legal market. THE TEAM With established Restructuring teams across the UK, the national team has 11 Partners and more than 33 specialist restructuring and insolvency lawyers. Our Restructuring team members have been nominated for and/or won awards over the years for a wide variety of financing and restructuring assignments. Our integrated team is comprised of a variety of talented professionals some of whom have successfully worked at the Firm for many years while others have worked at Magic Circle and leading US firms previously. We act for a diverse client base, generating work from external financial institutional clients and advisers, and from our national and international practice groups and their corporate clients. These clients are driving our need for high calibre restructuring lawyers who can bring flair and imagination to challenging circumstances faced by these clients, whether in commercial banking, Leverage Finance, Capital Markets or in particular sectors of the economy facing financial challenges or change.
