Job Summary:

The Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the hotel restaurant, coffee bar, and banquet space. The successful candidate will ensure guest satisfaction by providing excellent customer service and maintaining a high standard of food quality and presentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the hotel restaurant, coffee bar, and banquet space
  • Hire, train, and supervise all front-of-house and back-of-house staff
  • Develop and implement procedures for efficient and effective operation of the restaurant, coffee bar, and banquet space
  • Work closely with the Executive Chef to create and maintain menus that reflect current food trends and local flavors
  • Ensure that all food and beverages are prepared to hotel and industry standards
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue and profitability
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization throughout the restaurant, coffee bar, and banquet space
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Manage inventory and ordering of all food and beverage supplies
  • Oversee scheduling and payroll for all restaurant and banquet staff
  • Monitor guest feedback and address any issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and excellent customer service
  • Ensure that all staff members adhere to hotel policies and procedures
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff members
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors, suppliers, and local organizations
  • Attend regular meetings with other hotel department heads to ensure smooth coordination of operations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in restaurant management, preferably in a hotel setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
  • Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including food preparation and service, sanitation, and safety regulations
  • Ability to manage a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high levels of quality and guest satisfaction
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and restaurant management software
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Knowledge of local and industry trends in food and beverage service
  • Familiarity with banquet and event planning and execution is a plus

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in a hot and noisy environment
