We are looking for a passionate assistant manager that loves food, drinks, wine and hospitality in general for a new Caribbean restaurant and cocktail in the heart of Dunstable – Mangos of the Caribbean.
The perfect candidate would be someone who has a good sense of humour, approachable nature and willing to learn and participate.
You will work alongside the Restaurant Manager to run shifts; ensuring guests expectations are exceeded at all times; train, develop and motivate staff; maximise revenue by upselling products; maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and staff.
The ideal applicant will have excellent customer service skills to help deliver a world class customer service, have good Bar knowledge, be very well presented, have understanding of cost controls and Health and Safety – management experience and a passion for the industry are essential qualities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working alongside the RM to ensure a profitable restaurant
- Scheduling labour in line with a budget
- Cost-efficient stock control and ordering
- Coaching and developing your team to be the best
- Ensuring the highest levels of customer service at all times
- Controlling P&L accounts and reviewing financial reports
- Overseeing recruitment, appraisals, performance management and action plans.
- Ensuring that the restaurant provides a safe environment for both staff and customers
