Post No. PE1017.1 - Response Operatives - Drainage & Highways

City Services are responsible for the Council’s front-line services, including highways, engineering, car parks/enforcement, drainage, grounds, waste and recycling areas. Following a recent restructure, we are pleased to be seeking individuals to recruit 3 x Response Operative Road worker posts.
The posts will be part of the team delivering the Highways & Drainage Maintenance Service by ensuring day-to-day operations are carried out efficiently looking after plant and equipment and adhering to health & safety at all times. They may also support other areas by working collaboratively whenever needed ensuring efficient services are delivered for our residents.
City Services also operates out of hour’s emergency services dealing with all issues on the highway network including Drainage / Highway operations, Winter Maintenance, and the post holder may be required to participate in out of hours and standby systems.
We are seeking individuals with experience in the areas of Highways & Drainage municipal maintenance the post holder will be responsible for Completing day-to-day works & time sheets, and complying too, and maintaining the highest levels of health and safety
The post holder will need to be well organised and confident in making responsive decisions, be an excellent communicator and be confident in I.T systems.
