About this Opportunity
An Exciting Opportunity to Join a Dynamic New Team!
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Work Experience Co-ordinator who will be responsible for the promotion and organisation of work experience, with a focus on students where work placements are required for their college course or career aim, or for students, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds, where a work placement would provide an opportunity to develop key employability skills and support their future progression from New College. The role will also involve liaising with potential placement providers, promoting the benefits of work placements to employers, providing advice and guidance relating to work placements, and ensuring that student safety is maintained whilst on placement.
New College Doncaster, an academic sixth form college, offers a distinctive young adult ethos and is a great place to work and study. With 1500 students, New College Doncaster has grown rapidly since opening in 2017 and students make exceptional progress in both A level and level 3 applied general courses. The college is proud to have been rated ‘outstanding’ in all categories in its 2021 Ofsted inspection: “Students at New College Doncaster experience a culture of very high expectations, which supports them to maximise their potential and achieve their aspirations. Teachers challenge students to be the best that they can be, to have very high levels of attendance and punctuality, and to develop strong, independent learning skills.” The three Colleges within the Trust work closely together, presenting exciting opportunities for collaboration, support, development and progression.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious candidate to join our dynamic team at the forefront of change and to make a real difference to raising standards of education in the local community. New College Doncaster delivers primarily A Level provision, alongside a number of Level 3 BTEC qualifications and some Level 2 provision.
