Our team is made up of people with a wide variety of backgrounds so if you possess any of the skills, qualifications and experience from the following categories we would like to hear from you:

Engineering (you can fix /build stuff)

Spill response is hands-on. We need people who can apply their practical ‘knack’ to operate our spill response equipment which is largely made up of diesel-driven hydraulic plant and pumping systems. An Engineering degree and/or experience in a hands-on mechanical engineering or marine engineering role would be valuable to us.

Environmental (you care about the world around you and people within it)

Spill response is science based. We need people who can understand complicated trade-offs in choosing oil spill response strategies. Experience in an environmental role preferably with a degree in Environmental Science, Marine Biology, Oceanology or similar will be beneficial.

Disaster Management/Logistics (you can get stuff done when nobody else can)

Spill response is difficult. In order to deliver an effective response, we need to mobilise our people and equipment at a moment’s notice to anywhere in the world. Experience /knowledge of working in civil contingencies planning, disaster management or complicated international logistics in particular with the armed forces is of interest to us.

Marine (you have worked in some of the most challenging environments)

Spill response is truly global. Although we respond to land-based spills our biggest challenge is often in the marine environment. Knowledge of seamanship and an understanding of tides, currents and charts are valuable. A background as a deck officer in armed forces, coastguard or merchant fleets is of interest to us.

Language Capability (you can work with anyone, anywhere)

Spill response is all about people. To be successful we must collaborate and connect. All candidates need excellent written and verbal English language skills. However, due to the global nature of our work, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese and Arabic languages would be advantageous. We would particularly welcome applications from fluent French and Spanish speakers.
