Job description
Join an exceptional, award winning Adult Integrated Respiratory (AIR) Team in East Berkshire. Finalist in Nursing Times Award 2018, Innovative Team Award (Frimley Park Foundation Trust) and headed up by a Consultant Nurse (awarded Respiratory Nurse Leader by ARNS, 2018). The specialist respiratory service is delivered at home, community and in hospital settings for patients with various long-term respiratory conditions. The emphasis of our work is to provide intelligent compassionate care to patients and their family through specialist clinics, pulmonary rehabilitation, admission avoidance, supported discharge from hospital, oxygen service, psychological therapies, and palliative care. We work closely with Secondary, Primary and voluntary care providers.
The chosen candidate will have a passion for respiratory physiotherapy and supporting those with chronic lung disease to gain the best possible health related quality of life.
The role is extremely varied, based in King Edward VII, Windsor but covering East Berkshire through satellite clinics, home visits and Pulmonary Rehabilitation in local community centres- hence a car and a driving licence is essential.
- Whether you are applying for the band 5 training post (with the aim to up band within 12-18 months if competencies met) or the band 6 post you will have a full training and competency programme provided.
- As an AIR Physiotherapist no one day will be the same. You can be running an ambulatory oxygen clinic in the morning and an outpatient clinic in the afternoon, the next day leading a Pulmonary rehabilitation class followed by providing training to carers regarding chest clearance in a patients home.
- The AIR Physio team run Pulmonary Rehabilitation (face to face, at home and online), Ambulatory oxygen clinic, Outpatient clinics offering management for chest clearance, chronic cough, breathlessness management, Breathing pattern retraining, exercise advice and domiciliary visits.

- AfC Salary: Band 5-£29,828-£336,311/ Band 6- £37,162- £44,629 per annum (incl of HCAS)
