Job description
Our Recruitment Campaign Managers (CMs) are respected recruitment subject matter experts. We focus on providing bespoke campaign advice to ensure that recruitment and selection is tailored to the nature of the role being advertised and provides the best candidate experience for DWP’s hard-to-fill and specialist roles across all directorates.
Campaign Managers are responsible for understanding DWP’s recruitment needs and providing robust recruitment and selection recommendations in line with all applicable policies; these may be internal to DWP and/or the Civil service and/or legislative. We don’t expect you to understand these prior to joining as full recruitment training will be provided. You should be accurate in your work, considerate, have excellent interpersonal and influencing skills and be willing to learn as recruitment is ever evolving. Your responsibilities will include:
- To lead and manage recruitment campaigns in complex business areas, managing your own time and staying organised to ensure deadlines are met.
- Provide insight and advice to recruitment stakeholders, championing diversity and inclusion in recruitment.
- To build relationships with stakeholders to ensure commitment to campaigns, and identification of any assumption, risks and constraints, flagging these to team leads.
- To understand and follow recruitment processes and Commission principles in order to reach a high quality outcome.

- You will be able to seek and analyse information to inform decisions based on the best available evidence.

Desirable criteria
- Relevant professional qualification or knowledge - member or associate member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), willingness to work towards this, or equivalent professional qualification or HR knowledge.

This job role may be suitable for hybrid working, which is where an employee works part of the week in their DWP office and part of the week from home. This is a voluntary, non-contractual arrangement and your office will be your contractual place of work. The number of days that anyone will be able to work at home will be determined primarily by business need but personal circumstances and other relevant circumstances will also be considered. If you are successful, any opportunities for hybrid working, including whether a hybrid working arrangement is suitable for you, will be discussed with you prior to you taking up your post.

Selection process details
Your application will consist of three parts:
1. A Personal Details application form.
2. Your employment history detailing your responsibilities, skills, accomplishments, plus your qualifications and relevant training. Please copy this information into the box field provided.
3. The Personal Statement should be a maximum of 750 words and include the main content of your evidence, skills, and experience against the three focused questions below.
- Delivering at Pace: How have you managed delivery of recruitment campaigns/ activity in your organisation?
- Seeing the Bigger Picture: Tell us how you have worked outside of your team to work towards an organisational objective.
- Working Together: Describe a time you collaborated with others to deliver an innovative idea/product/service.
When completing your Personal Statement please read the three focused questions thoroughly. This is what your written evidence will be assessed against. In answering them you may wish to consider the Person Specification shown on Slide 6 of the Candidate Pack.
The sift panel including the hiring manager, will then assess your application to select those demonstrating the best fit with the role by considering the evidence you have provided against the criteria set out in the Person Specification section of this pack. Failure to address any or all of these may affect your application.

Stage 2: Interview
If you’re successful at sift stage you will be invited to a video interview via Microsoft Teams. There, you will be assessed against the Behaviours/Strengths/Experience.
The behaviour questions, alongside full details of the interview requirements will be shared with candidates in advance of the interview, strength questions will not be notified in advance.
