Resource Management (RM) is a business-critical function at Deloitte. It ensures that we have the right people, with the right skills, in the right locations, available at the right time. As a member of the RM team, you will support the business unit leadership and practitioners, playing a crucial role in the implementation and delivery of RM services to provide operational excellence whilst supporting delivery of the business talent strategy. The role is people-focused and is founded on establishing effective working relationships with all key stakeholders as well as holding, or being keen to develop, a good understanding of Management Information.

Specific responsibilities:
- Be an integral member of the Resource Management team to ensure that Deloitte clients are provided with the best teams of people, combining industry experience with technical knowledge to ensure maximum commercial advantage
- Ensure that practitioners are appropriately matched to jobs which are challenging and developmental
- Ensure accuracy of practitioner schedules and the timely escalation of potential conflicts and issues
- Ownership of key processes across the team in support of Engagement Planning, Talent Management, New Joiner & Leaver Processes, MI & Reporting, Learning & Professional Education, Team & Personal Development
- Provision of regular management information, analysis and advice in areas such as staff availability, utilisation, revenue and forecasting accuracy
- Liaise, influence and challenge effectively to resolve issues and build relationships at all levels with multiple stakeholders
- Work effectively in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution
Connect to your skills and professional experience
- Professional work experience (of which some should have been gained in a medium to large sized organisation)
- Computer literate - in particular a strong working knowledge of Windows and Excel
- Confident and skilled verbal and written communicator - ability to cultivate trusted advisor working relationships with practitioners, business unit team members and the wider resource management function
- Ability to interact effectively with empathy, impact and discretion
- Flexibility and ability to learn quickly in a fast-moving environment
- Ability to plan, prioritise, multi task and manage a significant workload under pressure with excellent attention to detail
- Team player who uses initiative and takes ownership
- Portrays a professional, customer orientated image of resource management
- Proactive and willing to go the extra mile
- Ability to gain immediate credibility with junior staff and the trust of all staff and key stakeholders
- Ability to gain an in-depth understanding of the Business Unit and wider Audit practice

Personal independence
Regulation and controls are standard practice in our industry and Deloitte is no exception. These controls provide important legal protection for both you and the firm. We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints. This can mean that you and your "Immediate Family Members" are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds etc.) with audit clients of the firm. The recruitment team will provide further detail as you progress through the recruitment process.
