Job Description

Are you an enthusiastic and seasoned SaaS Project Manager looking for an exciting challenge in a dynamic and fast-paced environment? Do you have a passion for SaaS and highly innovative digital projects? If so, we want you to join our high-growth software and services company.

We are seeking an experienced Senior SaaS (Software as a Service) Project Manager to join our team. As a Senior Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing complex SaaS projects from inception to successful delivery. You will be the first Project Manager within the Client, so a sleeves rolled up, entrepreneurial approach is required.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, quality assurance, and customer success, to ensure project objectives are met within scope, budget, and timeline. The ideal candidate has a strong background in SaaS project management, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of successfully delivering projects.

Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Execution:

  • Lead the planning, scoping, and estimation of SaaS projects, considering the project's technical complexity, resource requirements, and business objectives.
  • Define project milestones, deliverables, and timelines, and develop detailed project plans.
  • Manage project execution, ensuring adherence to project plans, and proactively identifying and addressing potential risks and issues.
  • Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless coordination and efficient project delivery.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between team members, ensuring everyone is aligned with project goals and objectives.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive team environment, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, executives, and senior management, to understand their requirements and expectations.
  • Effectively communicate project status, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders, managing their expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, promoting transparency and ensuring their satisfaction with project outcomes.

Resource Management:

  • Identify and allocate project resources, including human resources, budget, and tools, to ensure the successful execution of SaaS projects.
  • Coordinate with resource managers to ensure the availability and allocation of appropriate resources at each project phase.
  • Monitor resource utilisation and proactively address any constraints or conflicts to optimise project performance.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Conduct project lesson learned assessments to evaluate project performance, identify lessons learned, and implement process improvements for future projects.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in SaaS project management, sharing knowledge and implementing innovative approaches where appropriate.

Requirements:

Essential

  • Proven experience (at least 5 years) as a project manager in the SaaS industry, managing complex software projects from initiation to delivery.
  • Strong knowledge of SaaS development processes, methodologies, and tools.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) with recognised certification such as: Prince2, Sigma, PMBOK, Agile, APM etc.

Desirable

  • A Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline.
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies is highly desirable.
  • Experience of Banking, Financial Services & Insurance sectors is highly desirable.
