Job description
PwC’s Resource Management (RM) team has been brought together across our whole firm to enable our business to be even more agile in the ever evolving markets we work with, providing the right people on the right projects at the right time.
As a Resourcing Officer, you’ll support the Business Unit (BU) leadership and play an important role in the implementation and delivery of RM services to provide operational excellence. This is a people focused role, founded on establishing effective working relationships with all key stakeholders across the business.
This role will be based in Belfast/London/Bradford and will be supporting the Nexus Competency Centre.
- Day to day deployment of staff to projects/assignments balancing the needs of the business with the needs of the individual
- Produce Management Information (MI) for the RM and BU leadership and use this to make informed resourcing decisions and recommendations to the BU
- Build strong lasting relationships within the BU and the wider resourcing function to enable greater effectiveness in providing solutions for resourcing demands
- Build relationships with stakeholders and become the point of contact and trusted advisor for resourcing
- Improve agility by utilising people within your immediate area and across the firm as a whole, encouraging ‘cycles of experience’ to our people
Technical expertise:
- Manage all the day to day deployment requirements for your BU
- Become a subject matter expert with resourcing systems keeping records up to date and accurate at all times
- Proactively manage resourcing conflicts and priorities
- Develop a strong understanding of how profitability, agility and retention are affected by resourcing decisions
- Demonstrate an ability to use MI to support decision making

Knowledge & skills required:
- Demonstrable experience of workforce planning, resourcing, recruitment or project management experience within a professional environment
- Evidence of well refined communication skills
- An ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with an ability to communicate and negotiate across all levels of the business
- Able to plan prioritise, multi task and manage a significant workload under pressure
- Must be comfortable and confident with systems – Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
- Knowledge of manpower planning systems would be advantageous but not essential
