Resource Management is a business-critical function at Deloitte. It ensures that clients have the right people, with the right skills, in the right locations, available at the right time.

As a Resource Manager you will work closely with business management groups, Leadership, key stakeholders and internal departments to manage the effective deployment, utilisation and personal development of on and offshore resources by partnering directly with project teams.

You will play a pivotal role in the implementation and delivery of resource management services to provide operational excellence whilst supporting our people talent strategy. The role is people focused and founded on establishing effective working relationships at all levels.

Specific Responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring that clients are provided with the best teams of people, combining industry experience with technical knowledge to ensure maximum commercial advantage
• Acting as a trusted advisor who provides balanced and pragmatic advice around manpower planning and resource management, sharing best practice and advice on people deployment issues
• Delivering optimal utilisation for the business unit by ensuring consideration of the commercial aspects of deployment decisions and providing appropriate challenge where necessary
• Liaising and influencing effectively to build relationships at all levels and with multiple stakeholders to deliver resourcing and strategic requirements
• Promoting the use of key resourcing systems to enable effective and efficient resourcing, driving continuous process improvement and the introduction and adoption of new resourcing technologies
• Interpreting and analysing Management Information (MI) to provide insight, make connections and spot opportunities to improve profitability and engagement.

• Diligent, conscientious and with a strong attention to detail
• Ability to quickly gain an in-depth understanding of our business
• Proactive and creative approach to problem solving – ‘ability to think outside the box’
• A proactive attitude towards change with an ongoing focus on process improvement
• Computer literate with strong working knowledge of Windows applications
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Demonstrated strong relationship management experience

• Previous experience of Resource Management, Recruitment, Professional services
