Gower College Swansea is one of the largest colleges in Wales with a strong reputation for high quality teaching and learning. We have six campuses across the city with over 4,500 full time learners and 10,000 part time learners. We currently have a turnover of over £50 million making us a major employer in the region with approximately 1,000 staff.

The role:
We are looking to develop and enhance the engineering curriculum to provide students with technical skills required for industry. This post is an excellent opportunity for someone to further their teaching opportunities.
- Full-time (37 hours per week)
- Permanent
- £31,498 - £36,642 per annum
- Tycoch and Gorseinon campus
Key Responsibilities:
- Training students in the operation of lathes, millers and machine shop equipment.
- Training students to programme and operate XYZ CNC machines.
- Support other staff training in CNC.
- Support lecturers in practical sessions.
- Ensure health & safety and compliance of PPE regulations is implemented and adhered to in the machine shop for staff and students.
- Ensure maintenance and servicing of machines and equipment is kept up to date and equipment is compliant.
- Keep stock of consumables and material supplies.
- Maintain good housekeeping within machine shop.
About you:
- Hold a Level 4 qualification in a relevant engineering discipline
- Hold a CNC operator certification
- Be able to generate CAD drawings and programme CNC machines
- Proven track record of working in a relevant role with trainer or teaching experience
