Job description

STM Group are looking for an experienced, determined and motivated individual to join our team as a Resource Manager working for one of the Company's most prestigious contracts, MTR Elizabeth Line.

The main purpose of the role is to provide a dedicated recruitment service for the MTR contract and providing a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment journey

Other core duties and responsibilities are as follows:

  • Responsible for the day to day recruitment activities across all MTR contracts.
  • Placing adverts on job boards, social media platforms, in house advertising as well as thinking outside the box to enable us to reach applicants.
  • Supporting the team with retaining talent.
  • Attend career fairs to promote STM/MTR partnership and roles we can offer.
  • Carry out pre screening interviews and shortlisting for all roles across the contract, identifying high performing candidates that match the company requirements.
  • Arrange and coordinate interviews and open days.
  • Responsible for the smooth running of recruitment open days, ensuring all candidates and managers are invited, rooms are booked and that presentations and interview questions are prepped.
  • Attend fist stage interviews, where possible.
  • Working with Operations and Administration to ensure all right to work checks and screening and vetting requirements are carried out prior to interview and offer stages.
  • Ensure all candidates have a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process, ensuring that candidates are well informed at each stage of the recruitment journey.
  • Create and maintain an applicant tracking system inline with GDPR guidelines.
  • Provide onboarding support for new employees, liaising with Operations and People Team.
  • Providing MTR Account Manager, Operations Managers and People Team with weekly recruitment updates.
  • Support with inductions and training.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments Training, Operations, Health and Safety, Quality and Finance to proactively create strategies and action plans in advance to resolve any potential issues and for continuous improvement.
  • Seek to promote and grow the business of STM Group at every opportunity. Be aware of and act on business development opportunities within the portfolio and the wider commercial environment including awareness of competitor activity.

Experience and desirable skills for the role:

  • Able to work autonomously, using own initiative and linking with Line Manager as and when required.
  • Able to work as a team, creating positive team culture and morale and being an excellent role model for junior members of the team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills whilst working collaboratively with peers and team members to achieve desired goal.
  • Ability to be flexible, adaptable and multi task and adapt to ever changing priorities over a range of disciplines.
  • Operates with integrity, is honest and reliable and professional at all times.
  • Able to remain confidential when dealing with sensitive issues.
  • Ability to liaise with employees at all levels across the business.
  • Willing to support and contribute to STM events which may be out of core working hours.
  • Experience of working in an in-house recruiter role, ideally in the security, rail or customer service environment.
  • Experience of working in a high volume and fluctuating recruitment environment.
  • Experience of both volume and specialist resourcing including attraction design and delivery and employer brand positioning.
  • Proven record of taking initiative to continually improve and develop innovative recruitment solutions
