SALARY: £62,000 - £68,000
LOCATION(S): Edinburgh or Dundee
HOURS: Full Time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites
About this opportunity
This role is within Embark Corporate Services Limited, part of the Embark Group who are part of the Lloyds Banking Group.
As a Resilience and Incident Support Manager you’ll focus on the delivery of related activities, including maintaining and operating Embark’s resilience framework, implementing regulatory and policy changes, leading incidents as they arise and supporting the business to ensure related risk exposure is understood and handled. You’ll be part of a team of experts who support related risk management activities across Embark Group. This opportunity with the 1st Line Risk team supports the broader business to co-ordinate and deliver a broad range of activities that focus on how we mitigate Operational Resilience related risks through a robust control environment. Focus areas will also include helping the Embark team to prepare for and handle incidents, so that we can ensure we keep the show on the road for customers and colleagues.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Supporting Risk education and awareness within target focus areas and change behaviours in relation to Resilience and Incidents
  • Co-ordinating and undertaking scenario testing of the Group’s Important Business Services.
  • Documenting operational resilience self-assessment exercises to facilitate appropriate senior strategic direction and governance
  • Providing support, mentorship and challenge to key partners around operational resilience, recommending control improvements where required
  • Supporting incident management and rectifications including handling incidents as they arise in line with requirements and co-ordinating reporting to senior management and maintaining appropriate documentation.

What we need from you:
Delivering excellence is no easy task, so we need someone with the right experience and behaviours to join our team.
We're looking for a Risk professional with a detailed and proven understanding of risk management. You’ll be a good communicator, in both written and verbal forms, and able to engage with a diverse range of colleagues and external contacts. Able to identify risks and know how to handle them is a core part of this role, as is being able to work with colleagues and outsourced suppliers to close out any required remediation.
As well as this, you'll need to have:
  • Resilience & Incident Management experience, preferably backed up with strong stakeholder leadership skills. The ability to handle and influence partners at all levels both within the organisation and outside is key.
  • Continuous Improvement is core to the roles requirement to not just resolve issues but to look forward to how we embed a culture of continuous improvement across Embark’s control environment.
  • Risk management - An understanding of control environments and risk management methodologies will be required.
