Job description
Vacant Posts- Residential Care Workers (Full-time & Part-time)
Horizons Residential Care Limited is a well-established residential childcare provider based in the East Coast of Scotland and has been providing residential childcare service since 2013. The company won the Best Social Care Provider award in 2019, the Best Care Home Award in Scotland in 2021 and also won the Best Care Home Group in the UK in 2022.
The company has undergone major restructuring with a view to enhance the standards and quality of care provision to our Service Users and Local Authorities across the UK. The company expanded the range of services it provides and is opening new homes over the next few months. Consequently, we have a number of opportunities opening up: Assistant Managers, Senior Residential Care Workers and Residential Care Workers.
Horizon’s vision is for young people within our care to thrive in a positive living experience, which meets and exceeds the requirements of the Health and Social Care Standards.
Horizon’s ethos resonates with childcare theory, Attachment Theory, Social Pedagogy and Opportunity led Life Space Interventions. Our care practice aims to promote the development of young people’s coping mechanisms to resolve past experiences and enhance individual capacity in respect of life skills, self-esteem, confidence, and resilience.
Horizons provide, as standard, a staffing ratio of 1:1 (10am - 10pm) who are competent and confident in working alongside young people with complex and sometimes challenging behaviours. Our young people may present with a range of social, emotional and physical needs. Therefore the specialised care we provide requires being adaptive and flexible in response.
