St Mary’s Kenmure is a secure care centre which provides a safe and secure environment for the care and education of young people who are referred to us. We care for 24 young people, across four house’s.
Upholding the rights of our young people, advocating for them and ensuring they are given the opportunity to grow and develop as individuals is at the forefront of our approach to care. We ensure that all of our young people receive a high standard of care from a team of experienced and qualified staff across various disciplines, all committed to working collaboratively and in partnership to #KeepThePromise.
We offer a wide range of academic and vocational subjects to allow our young people to learn and develop during their stay, along with a variety of recreational facilities including a seven aside football pitch, gymnasium, fitness suite, a swimming pool and a climbing wall.

Our purpose is to provide a positive, life changing experience for young people through individual care, education and skills development focused on promoting young people's mental and emotional wellbeing and longer term positive outcomes.
The Sessional Residential Child Care Worker is a key position, and we are looking for dynamic, inspiring individuals to join our Sessional pool. We are seeking for caring, child-centred, hardworking and resilient individuals with a motivation to be a positive role model and make a difference in the lives of vulnerable young people. You must have a range of both professional and personal qualities. You must be self-motivated, work well in a team, with an ability to work independently. Being open minded and having the ability to listen and be empathetic is crucial to this role. We are looking for someone who has the strength to cope with challenging situations and to help others learn and develop from these. You must also be registered with or eligible to be registered with the SSSC.
We are looking to increase our Sessional Pool, if you have experience working in Residential or Secure Child Care, you are a student and would like to gain experience we would love to hear from you.
