What we are looking for:
Job Title: Resident Medical Officer (RMO) – Full-time
Salary: Circa £63,648.00
Department: Inpatients Wards
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 42 hours per week. Monday – Sunday
Shifts: 24 Hours Shift 8am to 8am. On-Call room available in the hospital accommodation
- 24 hours on-duty
- 72 hours off duty

Job Summary:
As a Resident Medical Officer (RMO) at King Edward VII’s Hospital, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to patients in our world-renowned hospital. You will work as a part of a team of medical professionals, including nurses, other doctors, and allied health professionals, to ensure that our patients receive the best possible care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting medical assessments and examinations of patients and providing appropriate treatment plans
- Providing emergency medical care to patients in critical conditions
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and collaborating with other medical professionals to diagnose and treat patients
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary
- Administering medication and other treatments as prescribed by other medical professionals
- Providing counselling and education to patients and their families about health and medical issues
- Maintaining accurate medical records and ensuring patient confidentiality
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care plans and progress
- Participating in on-going professional development and training to maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical advances and best practices
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Medicine or equivalent
- Valid medical license and registration with the General Medical Council (GMC)
- At least 2-3 years of UK work experience in a hospital or healthcare facility
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required by the facility
- Willingness to continually update knowledge and skills through on-going training and professional development
- Must be eligible to work in the UK
