Chevron is accepting online applications for the Senior Reservoir Engineer position through September 1, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. (CST).
This senior reservoir engineering position reports to an Asset Manager within the GOM Asset Development organization in Covington, LA. This position is responsible for initiating and leading all reservoir engineering activities required for this Chevron operated or non-operated asset. The Gulf of Mexico is a core business in the Chevron portfolio with net production of approximately 200,000 BOEPD, with exciting plans to grow production from existing opportunities & through a leading exploration position. The successful candidate will play a leading role within a team to optimize and grow production through a development plan of high return opportunities.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
- Leading subsurface workflows, assurance processes and iterative methods to move from opportunity ID to execution.
- Mentoring & development of less experienced employees.
- Scoping & prioritization of team tasks in alignment with business goals.
- Delivery of high-quality products from the team relevant to the decision, and necessary to influence internal & external parties.
Required Qualifications:
- BS in Petroleum Engineering.
- 10 years of relevant industry experience in reservoir management.
- Skilled competency in Reservoir Simulation Modelling.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior Deepwater experience.
- Demonstrated ability to challenge status quo, be curious and willing to take calculated risks.
- Experience in comprehending complex scenarios, building alignment across functions and communication with multiple stakeholders and senior leadership.
