Desborough Hotel Group, require a Reservationist to be based at their hotel in Weybridge – Best Western Ship Hotel. The Group own 3 hotels within the Surrey area with a total of 155 bedrooms. Best Western Ship Hotel is located in the centre of Weybridge and has 76 bedrooms, 3 meeting rooms, a bar/lounge area and a restaurant.
The working hours for this role are 40 hours per week Monday to Friday between 8 am and 6 pm. You will accept and process all advance reservations ensuring maximum occupancy and with complete accuracy. Reservations will come through telephone, email and directly into PMS (Opera) via Best Western member web and the channel manager from third parties. You will also complete daily arrival checks, identify advance purchase bookings, deal with group enquiries etc.
Candidates will have a pleasant and efficient attitude to all enquiries/queries and you will also fully support the Revenue Manager to maximize sales opportunities. Your proven ability in a reservations or reception environment as well as your ability to deliver exceptional customer service, your positive "can do" attitude, sense of humour and your impeccable standards of accuracy will put you to the forefront of our recruitment process.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with reservations or hotel reception experience who has a keen interest in developing their skills. The office works as a team so the successful candidate must be a team player willing to assist and help team mates wherever needed including taking meeting & event enquiries.

Skills required:
Self-motivation and enthusiastic with customer focus and sales ability
Clear telephone manner and good communication skills
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and multi-task
Good administration skills, PC literate and exceptional attention to detail
A positive and flexible approach to work with a ‘can do’ attitude
Ability to work very well in a team as well as be relied upon to work with own initiative
Previous experience in a similar position and the ability to work to deadlines and towards targets is essential.
