Are you good at organisation, communication and being an administrative all-rounder? Looking for a role that allows you to develop these skills? Our client, a progressive and successful legal firm, are looking for an aspiring researcher in the legal sector to join their expanding support team. The role involves assisting two executive assistants in supporting the workload of the team of patent attorneys. The role is extremely flexible and will involve you in every aspect of the firm’s work. Ongoing training will be provided as necessary.

The ideal candidate will be happy to communicate with clients and professionals and have a methodical attention to detail whilst having an enthusiasm to learn new skills. You must have experience of or a willingness to learn Microsoft products such as Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint. The environment is busy so the ideal candidate should be confident and be willing to assist in all aspects of running a busy office.

Given that the role involves close interaction with others, you will be required in the office located in York a minimum of 4 days per week. There is flexibility on the level of candidate; experience working in an office/legal environment would be desirable, however, they will also consider candidates with no experience but a drive and desire to succeed.

Key responsibilities will include:

· Preparation of official forms and notices in a timely and accurate manner. This will include the input of appropriate data in patent and trade mark applications and other official forms

· Preparation of on line filing systems for patent and trade mark documents

· Answering telephones, greeting clients, booking meeting rooms, preparation of refreshments etc.

· Personal Assistant duties such as booking and managing UK and foreign travel arrangements for attorneys and maintenance of personal diaries

· Liaising with external service providers such as recruitment consultants, marketing advisors, premises, landlords, and service personnel

Salary: From £23,000.00 per year
