Job description
Public Health & Society Group within the Department of Health Sciences wishes to appoint a Research Assistant (Qualitative) to contribute to high quality research. The main substantive research project the post holder will work on is the qualitative part of a meta-evaluation of a large early years prevention programme called ActEarly: https://actearly.org.uk/
ActEarly focuses on improving health and wellbeing for children living in high areas of poverty in both Bradford and Tower Hamlets, London. The post holder will work closely with colleagues at University of York, Bradford Institute for Health Research and University College London. The research undertaken as part of the role will mainly focus on assisting with: qualitative data collection in the form of interviews, set up and co-ordination of several workshops and analysing study documents. This post may provide support to several qualitative research projects as and when appropriate.
Key role duties are:
To assist in the delivery of research under the supervision of senior colleagues and to contribute to the production of research
To assist with the set-up and conduct of qualitative research
To assist with qualitative data analysis
To assist in the identification and development of potential areas of research and the development of proposals for independent or collaborative research projects
