Johnson Test Papers are recruiting for an experienced Research Lab Technician to join a test strip manufacturer at their site based in Oldbury, West Midlands. We are looking for someone to start immediately

Research Lab Technician Role:

• Assist with the development of new products to defined performance, cost and timescale targets
• Propose innovative solutions to aid business growth
• Be part of a highly skilled team of individuals in the research and development department
• You will have the opportunity to work in the R&D department using high-hazard materials
• Involved in the application of techniques for handling sensitive materials
• Preparation and carrying out experiments in accordance to a set plan.
• You will plan and prioritise tasks effectively to ensure all work is carried out in the allotted time

Your Background:

• Bachelors Degree level qualification in Chemistry (or equivalent)
• You will be enthusiastic with good interpersonal, organisational and communication skills and be very task-orientated
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Experience of working in a chemistry laboratory environment for at least 1 year, with good laboratory skills and product formulation will be beneficial

Salary from £24k depending on experience

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
