About the Position
The intern will support the Middle East and Africa research team at FrontierView. The intern will provide research support, materials preparation, as well as analysis for a range of markets in the MEA region. The intern will also benefit from opportunities to shadow client calls and to participate in team trainings and coaching sessions.
About the Team
The intern will be part of FrontierView’s global research team. The global research team produces all syndicated content for FrontierView’s client base of several thousand senior executives at multinational organizations. The team combines regional knowledge, macroeconomic and political insights, and business acumen to provide impactful analysis, forecasts, and executional advice for a senior executive audience. They work in close collaboration with the commercial team in supporting FrontierView’s growth strategy and ongoing client relationships.
About You
The research intern will conduct ongoing research and analysis, across a number of countries in the MEA region. They will cover economic, political, and business topics, conduct media monitoring, collect and organize economic data, as well as help prepare client-facing presentation materials. They will receive daily coaching, feedback, and support as part of our collaborative, meritocratic team culture.
- Monitoring and analyzing economic, political, and business trends across MEA markets
- Reviewing and analyzing macroeconomic indicators across a broad range of countries
- Writing research deliverables that are concise and impactful for a senior executive audience
- A Bachelor’s degree from a well-regarded academic institution in Economics, Business, Regional Studies, or International Relations and a master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., international economics)
- Knowledge of macro-economic fundamentals
- Strong research skills and being able to find, organize, and critically evaluate information from a range of local and international sources
- Experience with Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint and Excel)
- Strong writing skills in English
- Experience in managing multiple projects at once; excellent time and project management skills
- Curiosity and ability to cover a variety of topics and issues, including unfamiliar ones
- French or Arabic language skills are a plus, but not required. Language skills relevant to this role are being able to read and understand articles and data in that language to support local-language research, news monitoring, and data gathering
