Job description
We are seeking a talented and ambitious Research Fellow to lead preclinical, and translational research in gliomas. A background in Neuroscience and neuro-oncology research is essential as the post holder will play a key role in Dr Gerben Borst’s dynamic team to delivery of innovative projects.
The post-holder will develop and lead research, utilising a broad range of techniques to facilitate the translational aspect of early phase clinical trials and will be expected to independently liaise with clinicians, academic and industry partners, initiating and driving national and international collaborations.
The successful applicant will work as part of the CRUK RadNet Manchester Unit, which was one of only three major units awarded and builds on the 10-year history of an external collaborating “One Manchester” approach to cancer team science in radiotherapy-related research (RRR). This has been achieved by our multi-disciplinary expertise in biology, clinical oncology, physics, software development, engineering and imaging.
