Job description

We are a 55 bedroom Country Manor Hotel fantastically located in the countryside of Charlwood, Horley. Recently refurbished to bring a stunning building and grounds back to life.

We hold corporate and leisure events, weddings, parties, meetings and private banqueting.

Must be very customer orientated, chatty and interactive. Looking for a friendly and efficient person who wants to be a key part of a welcoming, family run business with the vision to grow.

Live in Option Available in Staff Accommodation

Own transport is essential as the hotel is not on a direct public transport route.

40 Hours per week - 5 days working

Shift patterns will be a mix of early shifts (7am - 3pm) & late shifts (3pm - 11pm)

Please note weekend and bank holiday shifts are part of this role.

Experience/Knowledge

Essential – Worked within a guest facing environment.

Desirable – Worked within Hospitality environment.

Skills/Competencies– Essential

  • Excellent personal presentation
  • A genuine interest in customer service
  • Computer literate with good attention to detail
  • Ability to confront day to day issues, remain calm under pressure and sensitive to others.
  • Passionate and enthusiastic. Uses this to engage others through positive emotional energy.
  • Has the ability to deal with conflict and challenge in order to secure high standards.

  • Ensure that the team have everything required to provide great guest service.
  • Support the management team to provide a safe environment to work in.

Guests

  • The warm welcome of the Reception Team is the first impression that our guests would receive and anticipate their needs wherever possible to achieve the ultimate guest satisfaction, all to make them feel at home and to be for them throughout their stay.
  • Handling telephone/emails enquiries
  • Taking individual bookings for accommodation and restaurant
  • Showing guests around the facilities.
  • Ensure that each guest leaves knowing that they have had a great experience.
  • Register all guests on check in to meet legal requirements.
  • Provide a safe environment for guests by following company legal and safety and security procedures.
  • Ensure the reception is well organised to leave a lasting impression to every guest.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: From £10.70 per hour
