About us
UCL’s Department of Computer Science (CS) is a top-ranked Computer Science Department in the UK. In the 2021 Research Excellence Framework (REF) evaluation, UCL Computer Science was ranked second in the UK for research power and first in England.
About the role
These posts will be associated with the EPSRC-funded IRIS project, ‘Interface reasoning for Interacting Systems’, which is based in UCL’s Logic group, PPLV. Ideal candidates will have expertise in some combination of the following, depending in detail on which of the two roles is of interest: proof-theoretic semantics for classical and non-classical logics; dynamic and temporal logics; proof-search, model checking, and other techniques from computational logic; categorical logic and coalgebraic semantics, and conceptually rigorous approaches to distributed systems and systems security; the methodological foundations of systems modelling. In addition, an interest in designing and implementing systems models, using languages such as Julia, would be an advantage.
