As part of its commitment to high quality teaching as measured by the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF), the Department of Engineering and Construction will be appointing academics who will deliver teaching in one or more areas of real estate management, procurement and contract law, quantity surveying and construction management, asset and facilities management, electrical and electronic engineering, renewable engineering. You are expected to be adopting the latest teaching pedagogy and develop good practice, taking full advantage of teaching and assessment tools and technological advancement.

The position is based within the Department of Engineering and Construction (E&C). The department delivers over thirty undergraduate, postgraduate, degree apprenticeship and professional doctorate courses including sustainable energy engineering, product design engineering, railway engineering, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, aeronautical engineering, engineering management, biomedical engineering, general engineering, intelligent transport planning engineering, quantity surveying and commercial management, structural engineering, construction management, surveying etc., covering two flagship cluster areas of Engineering (ENG) and Construction, Transportation and Logistics (CTL).
You are expected to be flexible in terms of availability and educated to a degree level in construction management or engineering or a closely related subject area. HPLs are given higher rate as it includes prep, marking, setting assessments and feedback time as well.
