About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Specialist to join our Global Mobility/International Workforce team at DS Smith. Global mobility at DS Smith is not limited to traditional assignments/transfers but encompasses all activity underpinning a fast-moving international workforce across 37 countries - so a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to be part of supporting this dynamic business.
Confident in nature and with a solutions-focused approach, the successful candidate will build meaningful relationships effectively with staff at all levels to thoroughly understand business drivers, identify areas of focus and help design practical solutions for individual situations.
You will also be responsible for taking ownership of projects including those partnering with our external vendors. You will bring your experience of managing queries and projects to deliver operational efficiency across the programme. As well as the day to day, the successful candidate will be active in implementing their own ideas to enhance processes and practices - Having a curious mindset and the confidence to back your ideas is actively encouraged here.

About you
- Demonstrable experience of working in-house in a global mobility or international HR role
- Experience of supporting tax and immigration compliance – desirable but not essential
- The ability to influence and confidently communicate and engage with a variety of stakeholders
- Experience of effectively and autonomously managing several projects at a time
- Able to work independently but also comfortable building strong working relationships with colleagues and partners around the business
