Job description

The University of Manchester has an extensive program in the clinical application of pharmacogenetics. Building on experience in point of care diagnostics and clinical pathways for pharmacogenetics, the team led by Prof Newman has been awarded a grant from Innovate UK to work on a number of projects with companies across Greater Manchester to develop novel approaches to pharmacogenetics. The post-holder will be working on a range of projects. The post-holder will be expected to have significant post-doctoral experience and to have worked in an internationally leading pharmacogenetics laboratory. The successful applicant will require extensive molecular biology and informatics skills relevant to pharmacogenetics. An expectation will be to start to develop an independent research program in clinical pharmacogenetics.

This is a full-time post for 22 months starting 1st June 2023.
