The Older People and Stroke Services team at Glasgow Royal Infirmary is seeking to fill Clinical Fellow posts to support the work of this dynamic and rapidly growing service.
The post is available from August 2023 for 12months. Applicants wishing durations shorter than 12 months will be considered.
This post will be primarily based at Glasgow Royal Infirmary and will focus on providing inpatient care to patients in Acute Geriatric and Stroke Assessment beds, there will also be a period of a few weeks working in our offsite clinics and rehabilitation units at Lightburn Hospital and Stobhill Ambulatory Care Hospital. The successful applicants will each be attached to an acute assessment ward, or rehabilitation ward on a rotational basis and will support the consultant, registrar and other doctors in training in providing high-quality acute care and Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment for our patients.
The hours of work will be 9am – 5pm, Monday- Friday (with a small contribution to out of hours rota including evenings and weekends) – Banded 1B
The posts will be open to doctors who have completed Foundation training in an NHS setting, hold full GMC registration and have experience of working in Older People’s Medicine.
