Russell Taylor Group have a fantastic opportunity for a post-graduate with research experience to join our clients rapidly expanding farming company. You will be based on site, full time in Cambridge, in their innovative new farming R&D lab. Here, you will be helping to support a range of research and various plant science trials.
Responsibilities
· Participating in trial and research preparation in order to optimise crop growth by monitoring nutrient dynamics, environmental conditions, plant health and plant analysis, including organoleptic assessments, antioxidant assays and shelf-life studies.
· Maintaining lab equipment including hydroponic irrigation systems, sensors, and other specialist equipment.
· Be involved in data collection and analysis.
· Liaising with and providing information to external partners.
The Person
· Background in Plant science e.g Masters or PhD or experience carrying out commercial horticultural research.
· Professional experience in plant research or commercial science.
· Adaptable, independent and solution-focused individual.
· Have an interest in sensory development, image analysis, plant microbiology & genetics or nutrient analysis.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Up to £35,000.00 per year
