The Helen McArdle Nursing and Care Research Institute leads on interdisciplinary health and social care research across the four Faculties of the University. The Institute works collaboratively with external partners in NHS, Local Authority, health and social care, VCSE and commercial settings to tackle health inequalities, empower patients and populations and support the healthcare workforce.

In collaboration with one of our NHS partner organisations, we have an exciting opportunity for a Research Fellow to support a study looking at integrating the voices of families and carers into service development. Working between the NHS and the Institute, the postholder will oversee the design, ethical approvals and delivery of this study, developing a pathway to impact . The role is for 2 days per week for one year.

The post-holder will have a postgraduate degree in a relevant area, have experience of designing and carrying out research with families , carers and services users in NHS setting and have experience in NHS ethical approval processes. Evidence of producing high quality publications and securing external grant income are desirable.

For an informal enquiries, please mail Professor Yitka Graham, Head of the Helen McArdle Nursing and Care Research Institute at [email protected]
