Research Associate in Marine Science

Role: Research Associate Marine Science
Department: School of Geography and Environmental Sciences
Grade: 6/7 £30,636 - £33,367
Responsible to: Principal Investigator
Campus: Coleraine
Full-time, Fixed-Term until 31 August 2024
The post holder will conduct research on demersal fishing impacts and associated recovery using non-invasive monitoring methods, examining the role of novel and emerging technologies and methods for gear impacts and habitat monitoring applied to fisheries management contexts. The successful candidate should have considerable seagoing research experience in terms of data acquisition and processing and demonstrated analytical capacity for geomorphological and ecological modelling of priority species and habitats.
We intend to create a 12-month waiting list for same or similar roles within the University.
