Job description

A Research Associate is required to assist in all aspects of the British Election Study.

The contract runs from 1 October 2023 (or as near as possible thereafter) until 31 January 2026.

The Research Associate will be based in the Department of Politics within the School of Social Sciences. The University of Manchester values a diverse workforce and welcomes applications from all sections of the community.

The appointee will facilitate high quality research using the British Election Study alongside Professor Fieldhouse and the BES Scientific Leadership Team. Duties will include contributing to a programme of original research using the BES; data analysis for inclusion in BES publications; public dissemination of BES research including conferences and events; data management; assisting with survey design; creating material for the BES website; supporting website maintenance; and assisting with events. The post offers an exciting opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the British Election Study.
