Job description
We are looking to appoint a research assistant to work on a study led by Dr Andrea Reinecke, exploring the effects of novel therapeutic strategies for depression and anxiety in adolescents and adults. The post is full time however consideration would be given to candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 80% FTE) on a pro-rata basis. The post is based in Department of Psychiatry at the Warneford Hospital.
The post is for a fixed term (funded for one year)
You will take an active role in recruiting participants, scheduling and carrying out participant screening and study assessments, logging and analysing data. The study will require adherence to Good Clinical Practice and liaison with medical and nursing professionals.
You will have a degree (2:1 or above) in a relevant discipline (eg Neuroscience, Psychology, Medicine), along with demonstrable research experience, including the ability to independently manage the day-to-day running of a research project. With a strong interest in cognitive neuroscience, psychopharmacology or clinical psychology you will have experience running psychological tasks and be able to relate professionally to participants. Experience of analysing fMRI data would be desirable, as would experience of working with young people/patients with depression or anxiety.
