We are looking for an enthusiastic graduate with an interest in the assessment of participants with depression.
The Opportunity:
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious graduate in psychology, neuroscience, or other human life sciences to work within an exciting team to improve our understanding of how antidepressants work. The successful candidate will help organise and conduct assessments of people with depression who have, or have not, responded well to antidepressants. The work will include organising the collection and transport of blood samples for use in stem-cell studies of how antidepressants work and why they work better for some people than others. The successful applicant will work as part of team effort with collaborators at Queensland University, King’s College London, Oxford University, and the international Psychiatric Genomics Consortium (PGC).
This post is advertised as full-time (35 hours per week) for 24 months, however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns.
Your skills and attributes for success:
- A graduate degree in psychology or other human life science
- Experience in assessing human participants in research.
- A basic understanding of research ethics and data governance
- A genuine interest in the causes and treatment of mental disorders
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
