Research Assistant - Education
Job Purpose:
A Research Assistant will work closely with the co-leads for research in the Institute of Education (IoE), the Directors of the Centre for Research into Education of Marginalised Children and Young Adults (CREMCYA) and the Centre for Catholic, Education, Research and Religious Literacy (CERRL), as well as colleagues across the IoE as appropriate. The ability to interact and communicate effectively with colleagues and key stakeholders is essential. Previous experience working with research colleagues and projects would be an advantage.
This is a short, fixed-term role to provide much-needed support for a range of research activities across the IoE. This role could be full-time or part-time.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the IoE’s growing research prolife by coordinating, and assisting with, research conferences, workshops and webinars for colleagues across the IoE.
- Under the supervision of the IoE’s co-leads for research, conduct literature searches, funding and grant searches, as well as qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis for a range of current research projects
- Support IoE colleagues with the delivery and dissemination of UKRI strategic funded projects
- Assist with PGT and PGR recruitment activities to boost applications for MA, PhD and EdD programmes across the IoE
- Assist the Directors of CREMCYA and CERRL with a smooth transition into new roles
- Be familiar with research ethics requirements and the principles of good research
