Job Description
A Research Assistant is needed to help with biostatistics and bioinformatics projects at the Glenn Biggs Institute to include designing, modifying, evaluating, and managing bioinformatic pipelines for omics-based data sets, including scRNA-Seq, microbiome, and metabolome.
Responsibilities:
- Design, modify, evaluate, and manage bioinformatic pipelines for omics-based data sets, including scRNA-Seq, microbiome, and metabolome.
- Work with the PI on developing and testing novel software for statistical, genetic, and genomic methods for human genetic/genomic data.
- Execute a data analysis plan for these data, including but not limited to genome-wide association analysis, network and pathway analyses, and application of existing and new computational genomic approaches toward high-density, large scale sequence.
- Work independently and be able to collaborate with other lab members to make appropriate and timely decisions to meet deadlines on experiments and projects.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Education: A Bachelor's degree in a specialized field of study is required.
