Applications are invited for a postdoctoral research position working with Prof. Lasana Harris (Department of Experimental Psychology, UCL) and Dr. Saite Lui (Department of Economics, Cambridge University) on the Nuffield Foundation and British Academy funded project, ‘Using Administrative Data to Understand Community Well-Being’, which investigates the feasibility of using existing administrative local government data to understand community well-being.
About the role
The project is part of the Understand Communities initiative, which aims to improve individual and community well-being. The post-holder will have primary responsibility for: organising ethics workshops with policy-makers and community stakeholders, transcribing workshops and producing reports, and analysing performance data of economic models. The role involves working with both academics and a larger team, including political scientists and economists. A job description and person specification can be accessed below. About you
Applicants should have an MSc in the Psychology, Economics, or a related behavioural science discipline. The applicant should have a good grounding in data analysis and programming. The ideal candidate must have experience with econometric analysis. The applicant will have demonstrated expertise in using quantitative methods and statistical skills in data analysis. The applicant should have a proven record of contributing to research projects, independent work, and excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. The applicant should have an ability to rapidly build rapport with academics, community stake-holders, and policy-makers.
