The Genetic and Non Memory Led Dementia (GNMLD) talk project is a multi-centre 5-year NIHR funded programme grant awarded to Dr Joshua Stott, focussing on evaluating blended online tools to support people affected by GNMLD (i.e., those living with non memory led dementias and their carers as well as people at genetic risk of dementia). It is a collaboration between University College London, University College London Hospital, Bangor University, Swansea University and Kings University. About the role

This is a full time, fixed term post until 1st April 2027. The main purpose of the job is to support successful completion of the GNMLD talk project from inception to dissemination, under direction of the Project PI and programme manager. Tasks include providing administrative support for all aspects of the project, supporting project co-ordination, recruitment and data collection as well as intervention delivery and quantatitive and qualitative analysis. The project has a strong quantative component including the analysis of large datasets, and we are looking for someone with a strong statistics background who can provide advice across the project. An acceptable DBS check is required to carry out this role. The role is eligible for hybrid working, dependent on the project schedule and needs. The salary offered on this post is £35,702 per annum.

About you

You will have a degree in Psychology, or an equivalent qualification, which confers eligibility for Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) of the British Psychological Society achieving at least 2:1 or above AND: i) A Masters level qualification in statistics. Please note, an MSc conversion will be considered for both disciplines. Experience of conducting an empirical research project in psychological research pertaining to people with rarer dementias and/or their caregivers is essential as is knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methodology, including knowledge of research evaluating interventions for and experiences of dementia caregivers. You will also have experience of working with IAPT datasets. You will have excellent social skills to establish rapport with participants in clinical services as well as diverse team members, and exceptional planning and organisational skills. Essential skills also include good computing skills including statistical package knowledge such as STATA, SAS and R. Excellent written, oral and/or communication and presentation skills are essential. You will be a team player, with the ability to work harmoniously with colleagues and students of all cultures and backgrounds and will take a proactive approach to identifying problems and planning research. Experience of research into online interventions or access to those interventions and strong qualitative data analysis skills are desirable.
