Role:
The Public Cloud Solutions Delivery Engineer will be instrumental in continuing our Cloud First strategy, bringing expertise in the strategy, design, development and implementation of large-scale projects in the cloud. The ideal candidate has experience in cloud-based tech with a firm grasp of emerging technologies and trends, and has the ability to customize these to drive security and efficiency. Advanced industry knowledge is key, as well as knowledge in building an engineering organization. The role requires a talented technologist with experience architecting and defining engineering processes and best practices to both enhance our public cloud development and ensure success in migrating applications and services to the cloud.
Responsibilities:
Identify projects, applications and efforts that meet the standard cloud requirements; provide guidance on modernization efforts
Engage with engineering teams across the firm to gather requirements for cloud enablement
Design solutions architectures identified and future opportunities for public cloud consumption
Ensure strategic and benefit-led projects are successfully managed
Cascade and enforce engineering best practices using modern SDLC that enables CI/CD and favors automation, auditability, automated testing, infrastructure and policy as code
Create financial and workforce requirements based on the service roadmap
Identify major technology trends and competitive forces relevant to domain aligned capabilities
Serve as a key member of the services team in helping to ensure developer success in building and migrating applications, software and services to the cloud
Drive the delivery of complex, undefined solutions while managing ambiguity when dealing with how to implement a portfolio of projects
Qualifications:
Some years of relevant experience in a Software Engineering role or applicable course work

Familiarity with Domain Driven Design and Event Driven Architecture
Familiarity working with relational/NoSQL databases
Demonstrated analytic/diagnostic skills
Ability to work in a matrix environment and partner with virtual team
