Job description
Applications are invited for 18 months postdoctoral research position within the Computational Cardiac Imaging Group, led by Prof Declan O’Regan We are seeking a talented scientist with a background in deep learning image segmentation with excellent programming skills in Python.
This project will develop automated tools for extracting 3D aortic geometries from CT imaging and develop machine learning techniques for visualising and predicting growth over time. The project will also use event data to understand features that increase risk of rupture. The data for this project is diverse – both in terms of disease severity and image quality – so developing techniques that are robust and generalise well to heterogenous data are important. This post is part of a Heart Research UK-funded project on Novel and Emerging Technologies (NET).
