Research Executive Role – Candidate Requirements
Role Description:
The Research Executive role is critical within the World Coffee Portal research team. It is a full-time permanent position; the successful candidate will play an important contribution in developing our global coffee market research.
Application Process:
The candidate will undertake an initial interview and assessment at Allegra HQ, co-ordinated by Senior Research Manager Bradley Journeaux. If successful in this phase, the candidate will then be invited back for a final interview process, including a session with Allegra CEO Jeffrey Young.
Key Responsibilities:
· Conduct research in accordance with World Coffee Portal’s proprietary research framework
· Conduct coffee market research across multiple geographies, including North America, Europe, East Asia and the Middle East
· Build first rate knowledge of key coffee markets, brand profiles and consumer trends
· Identify new coffee shop brands, collect relevant sizing and supplier information, perform key industry interviews and distribute industry surveys
· Develop a wide breadth of coffee industry contacts, building the Allegra contacts database
· Draw actionable insights, conclusions and implications based on relevant trends and data
· Support the team in delivering and meeting client requirements, helping them understand and get best value from WCP data and reports
· Contribute to data analysis, report production and presentations
· Prioritise and manage multiple projects and deadlines
· Attend suitable Allegra events where necessary (i.e. Coffee Festivals, Leaders Summits)
· Responsible for supporting and adhering to World Coffee Portal’s GDPR framework and privacy policies
Personal Specification:
· Experience within market research or commercial environment
· Passion for coffee, consumer trends and research processes
· Excellent communication (verbal & written) skills and confident and engaging telephone manner
· Strong commercial awareness
· Entrepreneurial spirit and innovative thinker
· Analytical and problem-solving skills
· Ability to understand and interpret data
· Diligent, organised and detail orientated team player
· Capable of working on multiple projects of a time sensitive nature
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £30,000 per year
Schedule: Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.00pm (30 mins lunch)
